I’ve been influenced by children’s books from the time I first opened my eyes. As a toddler I made my grandmother read me P.D. Eastman’s “Are You My Mother?” over and over, admiring the characters’ expressions and the simple linework. I spent my formative years watching and rewatching Walt Disney and Chuck Jones cartoons. Years later, I love creating work to make people smile or laugh - especially kids (and adults who still haven’t grown all the way up). Working in traditional media is what most excites me - especially watercolors and inks.

I’m an excellent communicator and take pride in finishing projects on schedule. I am an SCWBI member and currently seeking representation. When I don’t have a paintbrush in hand, I’m teaching music, learning to speak Italian, and spoiling my stinky pit bulls Greta and Snickers.
